Mae Fah Luang University Ranks Among Thailand's Top Universities in THE World University Rankings 2025

On 9 October 2024, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) achieved a notable ranking in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, securing the 6th place among Thai universities and placing within the 1201-1500 tier globally with an overall score of 25.2-30.6. This year, the rankings featured 2,092 universities from 115 countries and territories. 

MFU scored exceptionally high in the international outlook category, achieving the highest score in Thailand at 58.2, a significant increase from the previous year’s 54.0. This marks the sixth consecutive years of exceptional performance in the international outlook, reflecting the university's strong commitment to internationalization, aligned with its founding objective of becoming a leading higher education institution in the Greater Mekong Subregion. MFU's pursuit of internationalisation has been evident in its strategic efforts to obtain accreditation and certification from international organisations and forge academic collaborations with foreign institutions. These endeavors have resulted in a steady increase in the number of international students enrolled at the university. 

In addition to internationalisation efforts, Mae Fah Luang University remains dedicated to continuously enhancing the quality of education and research. The university focuses on creating research that generates economic, social, and cultural value by integrating academic knowledge with local wisdom to address area-specific issues. By incorporating climate change, environmental, and global studies into its curriculum, MFU aims to produce global citizens who are equipped to navigate future challenges and changes.
