MFU Medical Center Hospital Adapts to Plans to Treat COVID-19 as an Endemic Disease

     MFU Medical Center Hospital has informed that the hospital is preparing to treat COVID-19 as an endemic disease complying with the criteria of the Ministry of Public Health as follows:

1.   Covid-19 patients with no or mild symptoms (green group) will be diagnosed by the doctor that they can be treated in OPSI (Outpatient with Self Isolation). MFU Medical Center Hospital has closed the cohort ward for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms on its 9th floor since 1 May 2022. 

2. Covid-19 patients with severe symptoms or comorbidities such as pneumonia will be diagnosed by the doctor that they can be treated in the cohort ward for COVID-19 patients on the 8th floor (15 beds are available for COVID-19 patients since 16 May 2022).

3.   MFU Medical Center Hospital has closed the Community Isolation (CI) for MFU students located at Lamduan 2 and Lamduan 4 dormitories since 16 May 2022. MFU had opened the Community Isolation at Lamduan 2 and Lamduan 4 dormitories from 5 January to 15 May 2022. The total number of patients was 1,362.

     If MFU student uses ATK and a test result is positive, s/he are required to report a result on MFU.START. Then, the Student Development Affairs Division will contact the student to get a test at MFU Medical Center Hospital. The hospital offers two rounds of COVID-19 tests: 09.30 hrs. and 13.00 hrs.

  • 3.1 For student who lives off campus, if doctor determines that the student should conduct HI (Home Isolation) or OP-SI (OPD with Self Isolation), s/he has to inform and get a written approval from a landlord.  
  • 3.2 For student who lives on campus, student should quarantine at MFU Quarantine according to the period recommended by doctor.
