On 22-26 November 2021, over 260 participants from 23 countries participated in the 29th International Conference on Computers in Education (ICCE 2021) organised by the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) and co-hosted by the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Khon Kaen University and Mae Fah Luang University via online platforms.
The ICCE 2021 offered opportunities for researchers in the Asia-Pacific region to connect with international research communities for the worldwide dissemination and sharing of research ideas in the field of Computers in Education. This virtual conference featured main conferences, workshops and interactive events, Doctoral Students Consortium, Work-in-Progress Posters, Early Career Workshop and panels.
MFU’s Schools and the MFU Learning Innovation Institute (MLii) actively co-hosted the conference. On 22 November 2021, the School of Liberal Arts and the School of Sinology held the online workshop on ‘Innovative Designs for Language Education: Transformative Technology Leadership’ as the part of pre-conference events. This workshop aimed to build up the academic community of language practitioners and scholars and provide more insights on how to maximise the use of technology to enhance language learning experiences and a transformative leadership.
Also, the Center of Excellence in AI and Emerging Technologies, the School of Information Technology arranged the online workshop on ‘Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Intelligent Systems for Educational Research and Development’ for experts and researchers to share new knowledge and interdisciplinary research works bridging AI, data science and intelligent processing and systems to educational research and development.
