On 15 - 17 November 2023, Ms. Siriporn Ruadrew, the 4th-year student of School of Social Innovation participated in the Asia-Pacific Climate Week (APCW) 2023 at Johor Bahru, Malaysia as OVOC Thai Youth Advocate from Plan International Asia Pacific.
Ms. Siriporn Ruadrew spoke on a topic of climate education/awareness raising and youth as a change agent for resilient community in ASEAN Environmental Rights Framework An Intergenerational Dialogue for Inclusive Policy on 16 November 2023 and had a chance to participate in Regional ACE Workshop: Action for Climate Employment as a Toolbox for Systems Transformation.
The Asia-Pacific Climate Week (APCW) 2023 brought together policymakers, practitioners, businesses and civil society from Asia and the Pacific to explore solutions and raise ambition for climate action ahead of COP28. It was hosted by the government of Malaysia, organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank, with support from regional partners including ESCAP, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB).
