Recently, Mae Fah Luang University has gathered donations to aid flood-affected people in Chiang Rai province. MFU staff members and students from various clubs, including the International Student Club, MFU Band, and MFU Alumni Association, gathered to pack over 2,800 food boxes and water bottles for people in flood-hit areas of Chiang Saen and Thoeng districts, Chiang Rai, at the university’s Ruen Rim Nam restaurant during 24 – 28 August 2024.
Additionally, students from the School of Social Innovation, the International Student Club, Arsa Club (local community development club), and MFU Wild Life and Forest Club, in collaboration with the disaster management project of the Mirror Foundation, offered assistance in cleaning houses after the flood situation in Thoeng district.
Moreover, the university has established a donation station at the Queen Sirikit 72nd Jubilee Sport Arena (Indoor Stadium) to receive necessary items such as water, rice, dried food, medicine, flashlights, diapers, sanitary pads, cleaning equipment, and pet food. The donation station is open from 08.30 – 17.30 hrs. from now until 15 September 2024.
