On 25 January 2025, the Global Relations Division held a one-day trip to Preecha Orange Farm in Chiang Mai for exchange students from Czech Republic, France, Germany, Japan, and Philippines, and their Thai buddies. At Preecha Orange Farm, all 26 students learned about orange farming, explored the farm, and enjoyed picking fresh oranges.
This trip was part of the MFU International Buddy Programme, designed to provide a platform for exchange students and their assigned Thai buddies to meet and get to know each other through various activities and games. This progrmme also served as an opportunity for Thai students to learn about different cultures from their international friends while sharing their own Thai culture with them.
The buddy programme is a crucial component of the university's efforts to welcome and support new exchange students. By providing a friendly first point of contact, the programme helps students adapt to their new environments, connect with their peers, and build lasting friendship.
