From 24 – 28 June 2025, Mae Fah Luang University, led by the Global Relations Division, hosted academic and cultural activities for participants of the Sawasdee Thailand Summer Programme 2025. This summer programme, organised by Mahidol University, offers students invaluable opportunities to engage in transformative projects that blend education, community development, and sustainability through classes, cultural trips and activities, site visits, and excursions beyond Bangkok.
During their time in Chiang Rai, participants engaged in the special lectures delivered by MFU lecturers. Beyond the formal lectures, participants enjoyed vibrant knowledge and cultural exchange with MFU students through a series of engaging cultural workshops. MFU also provided immersive cultural experience through site visits and excursions within local communities across Chiang Rai.
Through these diverse activities, participants of the Sawasdee Thailand Summer Programme, alongside MFU students, gained a deeper understanding of Chiang Rai’s approach ecotourism and sustainability. They also cultivated a greater appreciation for Northern Thai culture and way of life, while forging new friendships with people from diverse backgrounds, helping them become true global citizens.
