MFU representatives, including Asst. Prof. Dr.Matchima Naradisorn, President; Asst. Prof. Dr.Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President; Dr.Teeraparp Predeepoch, Dean of the School of Sinology; and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Zhang Tao, the Chinese Director of the Confucius institute at Mae Fah Luang University, participated in the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing, China on 14 – 16 November 2025.
The Confucius Institute of Mae Fah Luang University was awarded the 2025 Outstanding Cases of Digital Application and Practices in Confucius Institute award, as well as the CI Moments Short Video Excellent Organisation Award.
Hosted by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), Chinese International Education Foundation, the International Society for Chinese Language Teachig, the conference was held under the theme "Innovation Leads, AI Empowers: Learning Chinese Without Borders." The event brought together more than 5,000 participants from over 160 countries and regions to explore how digital technologies reshape global Chinese education and the new requirements for language standard development in this evolving landscape.
The participation of MFU delegation highlights the university’s effort in enhancing Chinese language educational quality. This reflects the university’s belief in the value of fostering mutual understanding through language, knowledge, and cultural exchange.
