On 8 - 9 December 2025, the delegation from the University of Taxila, Myanmar, led by Dr. U Aung Kyaw, Rector, and Dr.Ye Pyae Thu, Chair of the Board of Trustees, visited Mae Fah Luang University (MFU).
The delegation met with Asst. Prof. Dr.Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nacha Chondamrongkul, Dean of the School of Applied Digital Technology; Dr.Piyatida Pianluprasidh, Dean of the School of Management; and Ms. Wannapha Thippayasak, Head of the Global Relations Division. The visit aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and promoting the exchange of knowledge between the two institutions.
The discussion focused on possible areas for cooperation with the School of Applied Digital Technology and the School of Management, specifically regrading short courses and double degree programmes.
Followed the discussion, the delegation toured key MFU facilities including the MFU Culinary Training Center (M the Food project), MFU Aviation Business Training Center, and M for U Centre. The University of Taxila delegation also visited the MFU Wellness Center to explore various units and receive personalised health consultations from the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This session provided valuable insights into the Center’s holistic approach to integrated health services and received great attention from the delegation.
The visit of the University of Taxila played a significant role in initiating the relationship and collaboration between the two universities, opening academic opportunities for students and staff.
