On 27 – 29 January 2026, the Global Relations Division of Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) organised the MFU Global Discovery Camp 2026. The event provided international high school students with a unique opportunity to explore their future academic paths while immersing themselves in MFU’s vibrant learning environment.
The camp was designed to offer authentic exposure to university academics, campus life, and global learning atmosphere through a diverse range of activities. Participants gained in-depth insights into academic programmes, facilities, career opportunities, and extracurricular activities. These sessions were led by distinguished lecturers and senior students from various Schools, who provided guided presentations and interactive laboratory visits.
A highlight of the camp was the series of hands-on workshops designed to equip students with essential skills for the future:
• Best AI Tools for Students (School of Applied Digital Technology): This session raied awareness of responsible AI use in daily life and studies, introducing students to cutting-edge AI tools to enhance their learning.
• How to be a Global Citizen (School of Social Innovation): Participants gained a deeper understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and global citizenship, learning how global issues connect to their lives and how they can contribute to the world.
• Eco-printing (School of Science): Students discovered how to transform natural elements into eco-friendly products using three core disciplines: Applied Chemistry, Bioscience, Materials Engineering. Using heat and pressure, they transferred natural plant pigments onto fabric to to create their own personalized canvas bags.
Throughout the three-day programme, students did more than just decide on an academic pathway; they built lasting connections with peers and senior students. The MFU Global Discovery Camp 2026 successfully served as a bridge, helping the next generation of international students step confidently toward their university futures.
