Mae Fah Luang University would like to congratulate Mr. Theeranai Sangjan a student from Software Engineering programme and Ms. Patcharaporn Panwong, a Computer Engineering Ph.D. student who won the Best Conference Paper Award in the IEEE Eurasia Conference on IOT, Communication and Engineering on 3-6 October 2019 at National Formosa University, the Republic of China.
Mr. Theeranai Sangjan seized an award with his work on “Classification of Astronomical Objects Using Light Curve Profile.” He uses the astronomical data of time series/light curve from the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) to accurately classify astronomical objects. In addition, Ms. Patcharaporn Panwong presented her excellent work on “Exploiting Consensus Clustering for Light Curve Data Analysis”
The winning papers were supervised by Assoc. Prof. Wg. Cdr. Dr. Tossapon Boongoen, Asst. Prof. Dr. Natthakan Iam-on and Dr. James Mullaney (Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Sheffield, UK).
