On 22 October 2020, the Dean of the School of Medicine and Acting Director of MFU Medical Center, Emeritus Professor Supakorn Rojananin, M.D. joined and delivered a keynote speech online about “Challenges and Opportunities of Medical Education” in the South and Southeast Asia Higher Medical Education and Health Care Cooperation Forum, China.
As a member of the South and Southeast Medical Education and Service Alliance (SSAMESA), Emeritus Professor Supakorn Rojananin, M.D. shared MFU’s best practices on developing collaboration with qualified clinical teaching hospitals in Thailand for clinical teaching and learning. The School of Medicine also established academic cooperation with private sector and foreign universities for human development, exchange of students and research in community medicine.
This forum was held by the South and Southeast Medical Education and Service Alliance (SSAMESA) with an aim to offer the stage for the members of SSAMESA to exchange and learn about the reform of education and healthcare during COVID-19 pandemic under the theme of “New Challenges, New Opportunities, New Cooperation: the Reform and Development of Higher Medical Education and Health Care in the Post-Epidemic Era.”
This forum was one of the parallel activities of the 2020 Online Forum on Education Cooperation in South& Southeast Asia organised by Yunnan Provincial Department of Education.
