COVID-19 Vaccination at the MFU Medical Centre Hospital

     On 7 June 2021, people over the age of 60 and people with seven non-communicable underlying diseases according to the announcement of the Ministry of Public Health, who registered for vaccinations via Mor Prom platform, have been inoculated against COVID-19 at the MFU Medical Centre Hospital. The President of Mae Fah Luang University, Assoc Prof. Dr.Chayaporn Wattanasiri and executive members not only observed and facilitated the process of vaccination service but also have been vaccinated against COVID-19.  

     Somprat Munjit, M.D. a lecturer of the School of Medicine and a doctor in the MFU Medical Centre Hospital expressed that today (7 June) marked the first day of vaccination drive at the MFU Medical Centre Hospital. People over the age of 60 have received an injection of AstraZeneca vaccines while people under the age of 60 have received an injection of Sinovac vaccines. On the first day of the vaccination drive, there were 320 registered people and no one has had serious effects 30 minutes after vaccination. The possible side effects of vaccination are pain at the injection site, weakness, fatigue or discomfort and fever, which are common side effects from vaccines. These side effects will go away on their own. If there are any serious side effects from vaccines, please contact the doctor immediately.
