Mae Fah Luang University would like to congratulate Ms. Paticha Onyie, a graduate from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Programme, the School of Integrative Medicine for having been selected by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) to be the Thailand Pavilion Ambassador. Ms. Paticha Onyie will be one of 25 Thai representatives for Thailand Pavilion in the World Expo 2020 Dubai which will be held on 1 October 2021- 31 March 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.
The World Expo is a five-year global exhibition and one of the three world’s largest events. The host country of World Expo rotates among member states of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE). This expo presents the world in one place with over 100 participant countries. Each of which will be presenting their identity and nation’s pride under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.” As for Thailand Pavilion, the Pavilion will be presenting Thailand under the theme “Mobility for the Future” that will allow visitors to discover more about the nation’s creative advances in the fields of transportation, logistics, digital connectivity and personal mobility together with its core value of nation’s warm hospitality, all of which the visitors will be able to experience from the very first step unto the end of their journey.
During her study at Mae Fah Luang University, Ms. Paticha Onyie participated in various international activities such as MFU ASEAN Youth Ambassador Camp 2015, MFU Social engagement, MFU ASEAN Cultural Studies Trip at Myanmar 2015 and YSEALI Training Youth Leader of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. Her leadership experience and cross-cultural understanding gained from participating in such activities help develop ability to communicate effectively, work well with people of different origins, and adapt to new people or situations.
Altogether, serving as Thailand Pavilion Ambassador will be an invaluable chance for MFU graduate to exchange culture with youth leaders from different countries and show the potential of Thailand on the international stage.
