On 12 September 2021, over 60 participants joined “the SDGs Stories: A Story from MFU SDGs Ambassadors” held by the Global Relations Division via Zoom meeting platform. This activity provided the stage for seven MFU SDGs Ambassadors, who had participated in the “Virtual AIMS Student Forum 2021: SDG and I Impact, Inclusion and Innovation” held by Universiti Taknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, to spread knowledge of 17 Sustainable Development Goals and how everyone can do to help achieve the SDGs. Moreover, MFU SDGs Ambassadors and a special guest, Mr. Arief Ferdaus Bin Azmi, a student from Universiti Sains Malaysia jointly share their experience during their project with friends from different countries. They said that the international forum was the great opportunity for them to make new friends and improve their teamwork and communication skills. Also, they had a chance to exchange ideas, learn how to effectively deal with unexpected events and work with friends from different cultural backgrounds.
MFU SDGs Ambassadors included: Ms. Kuenzang Dema, a fourth-year student from the International Development programme, the School of Social Innovation; Mr. Natapol Kamonwat, a first-year student from the Aviation Business Management programme, the School of Management; Ms. Nussareeya Sueree, a fourth-year student from the English programme, the School of Liberal Arts; Ms. Ratikan Petkamkaew, a second-year student from the Accounting programme, the School of Management; Ms. Sanita Bunga, a third-year student from the Multimedia Technology and Animation programme, the School of Information Technology; Ms. Waeazeezah Nimo, a second-year student from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme, the School of Management; and Mr. Xiaohang He, a second-year student from the English programme, the School of Liberal Arts.
Altogether, the SDGs Stories activity successfully helped enhance MFU student’s knowledge on the 17 SDGs and encourage them to take action towards the SDGs as the global citizen.
