On 14 February 2022, Mae Fah Luang University had the great honour of receiving Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who, on behalf of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, presided over MFU’s commencement ceremony for the Academic Year 2019 at the C4 Princess Mother Auditorium. This commencement marked the graduation of MFU’s 18th class of students and also the School of Integrative Medicine’s and the School of Dentistry’s first batch of graduates.
In total, 3,252 graduates attended the degree presentation ceremony. This year, MFU presented an Honorary Doctorate in Public Health to Emeritus Professor Somsri Pausawasdi, M.D. in recognition of her contributions in anesthesiology. The University also presented the Golden Tung award to Lt. General Emeritus Professor Nopadol Wora-Urai, M.D. in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the School of Medicine and the University.
On this occasion, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn delivered a royal address, stating that the knowledge, ability and experience acquired through study in each programme can be applied to graduates’ daily life and their work as well as using what they have learned to solve problems and overcome obstacles. Nowadays, current issues may affect people over wide areas. To successfully solve those issues, people are required to use content knowledge and skills from different subject areas. Therefore, all graduates shall bring their knowledge and skills to support, cooperate and work together towards the same goal, the nation’s greatest benefit. This cooperation will contribute to peacefully and harmoniously solving the nation’s problems and advancing the development of the nation. Furthermore, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn wished success and prosperity to every graduate and all the people who attended the ceremony.
