MFU is the Top Higher Education Institutions in Thailand

     For the SIR 2022, Mae Fah Luang University has been ranked the 685th out of 4,364 universities worldwide, ranked the 289th out of 1,485 universities in Asia and ranked the 10th out of 29 Thai universities. Furthermore, MFU’s the overall, research, innovation and societal percentiles are 64, 71, 47 and 56 respectively. 

     Moreover, MFU’s scientific output has been ranked in the world and in Thailand out of all participating universities worldwide according to the following areas of knowledge:

     Since 2013, Mae Fah Luang University has been ranked in the top 10 of Research Higher Education Institutions in Thailand. The university's high ranking illustrates high visibility of the university at the global level and also emphasizes high efficiency of research and innovative activities complying to our vision of becoming “a Leading University in ASEAN with International Recognition”.

     The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research-related institutions ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%) and societal impact (20%) measured by their web visibility obtained over the period of 2016-2020. The inclusion criterion is that the institutions had published at least 100 works included in the SCOPUS database during the last year of the selected time period. The source of information used for the indicators for innovation is PATSTAT database while the sources of information used for the indicators for web visibility are Google and Ahrefs.
