Mae Fah Luang University Wins the Bronze Award in Thailand Research Expo 2022

     On 5 August 2022, Mae Fah Luang University showcased current research projects and won the Bronze Award for “the Sustainable Coffee for Life” work receiving a trophy, a certificate and prize money of 30,000 baht in the Thailand Research Expo 2022 at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World, Bangkok. 

     This year, there were 105 institutions participating in the expo. Mae Fah Luang University showcased research works under a concept of ‘the Sustainable Coffee for Life’ which was inspired by the project of ‘Competency Development for Coffee Supply Chain of Arabica Coffee Farmers and Entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province’. The project, supported by the Program Management Unit on Area Based Development (PMU A), was implemented by Dr.Chalida Thaninkullaporn, Head of the Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Division    (head of project); lecturers from the School of Science including Dr.Amorn Owatworakit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sitthi Duangphet, and Dr.Kitiphong Khongphinitbunjong; and lecturers from the School of Agro-Industry including Asst. Prof. Dr.Rattapon Saengrayap and Dr.Sirirung Wongsakul. 

     The Thailand Research Expo 2022 was held by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation in collaboration with public and private research networks in Thailand on the theme “Research for Thailand’s development of security, prosperity and sustainability”. This expo was a national stage where researchers and students present their quality research works, technologies and innovations.
