Mae Fah Luang University and Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation on the ‘Open House for Real Experience’ project.

The memorandum was signed on 27 February 2018 by the President of Mae Fah Luang University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanchai Sirichana and the Vice President of Sales of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited Mr. Varong Israsena Na Ayudhya.

In the framework of this agreement, MFU and Bangkok Airways will support and develop students' capability and produce high-quality graduates through the ‘Open House for Real Experience’ project.

The purpose of the project is to develop MFU students’ professional skills through real experience and hands-on training courses provided by Bangkok Airways Public Company. In addition, MFU staff and students can observe the operations and practices in real working situations throughout the project. Guest lecturers and aviation business experts will also be invited to share their knowledge and experience concerning the services provided by flight attendants, ground staff, ticketing and reservation officers, and flight dispatchers.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanchai stated that the aviation industry growth would continue to expand because of a growing demand in tourism, business, and air cargo. Realizing the importance of human resources development for this sector, MFU first offered an aviation programme 10 years ago. Today, this programme offers three study tracks: Aviation Services, International Aviation Logistics Business, and Aviation Operations. These tracks’ common goal is to create graduates who possess knowledge, capability, and skills in aviation business management to fulfill the needs in every segment of the aviation industry, both at the national and the international levels.
