MFU Awarded the Certificate and the Honourary Pin for Leading Organization in Promoting Sustainability

     On 29 September 2022, Asst. Prof. Dr.Panate Manomaivibool, Assistant to the President represented Mae Fah Luang University to receive the certificate and the honourary pin from H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment at the Plenary Hall of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.  

     The certificates and the honourary pins presentation ceremony was organised by the Pollution Control Department, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Thailand Institute of Packaging and Recycling Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE), the Federation of Thai Industries to recognise the participation of more than 70 organisations including producers, retailers, recyclers, private sector, government sector and educational institutions in the “PackBack Project: Returning Packaging for Sustainable Days”.  

     The PackBack Project was a pilot project launched in Chonburi Province, aiming to establish the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principles in packaging management and respond to Circular Economy policy. It is Thailand’s first test of EPR tools in managing all types of used packaging.
