MFU Students Participate in the AIMS Student Virtual Workshop: Empowering Young Change-Makers on SDGs

     On 2 - 30 September 2022, three MFU students were selected to participate as MFU representatives in the AIMS Student Virtual Workshop: Empowering Young Change-Makers on SDGs held by Universiti Taknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. 

     MFU representatives included Mr. Kachapoom Suriyapongpun, a student of Software Engineering programme, School of Information Technology; Ms. Warissara Sae-han, a student of English programme, School of Liberal Arts; and Mr. Sahapop Kunteeragawin, a student of Beauty Technology programme, School of Cosmetic Science. Moreover, Mr. Kachapoom Suriyapongpun was selected as the most active participant of the programme.

     This programme was supported by the Division of Education Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and AIMS Malaysia Committee aiming to create a group of creative, innovative, and responsible changemakers that are capable of addressing social disparity and inclusivity issues to help improve quality of life.

     The programme provided a wide range of activities involving explicit and tacit knowledge delivered by experienced social entrepreneurs led by Ms. Anja Juliah Abu Bakar, a well-known mentor for social entrepreneurs and an SDG advocate. Furthermore, this programme related to almost all 17 SDGs in particular SDG1 (No Poverty), SDG2 (Zero Hunger), SDG3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG4 (Quality Education), SDG5 (Gender Equality), and SDG10 (Reduced Inequalities).
