On 27 October 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Chayaporn Wattanasiri, President of Mae Fah Luang University and MFU executives welcomed the delegates from the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) led by Professor David Jacoby, M.D., Executive Vice President and Interim Dean of the School of Medicine. The purpose of this visit was to discuss further collaboration in education, research and medical services with the School of Medicine, the School of Dentistry, the School of Health Science, and the School of Nursing. Additionally, the delegates visited the Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Center and MFU Medical Center Hospital.
Mae Fah Luang University and Oregon Health & Science University has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for academic collaboration since 2018. Moreover, in 2019, the School of Medicine of Mae Fah Luang University and the Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) Global Program jointly organised the Global Research, Education & Training (GREAT) program for MFU clinicians and health professionals to build a capacity for conducting quality clinical and epidemiologic research.
