On 31 March 2018, the Hospitality Industry Management programme in the School of Management held a Chilean Wine and Dine activity at the MFU Culinary Training Centre. This activity was a part of the culinary and beverage training course for developing the skills of food and beverage entrepreneurs.

An in-depth lecture on wine and how to pair wine with food was delivered by wine and spirit instructor, Mr. Teera Weerawan for all participants including the President of the Association of Northern Tourism Federation Mr. Kitti Tissakul, MFU lecturers, staff members and students.

The Dean of the School of Management Dr. Chatrudee Jongsureyapart stated that all food and beverage preparation and service were well-arranged by students from the Hospitality Industry Management (HIM) programme. Dr. Chatrudee added that this event helped HIM students to put theories from their lectures and training courses into practice and gain more experience in restaurant services. It also created a better understanding of the importance of proper combinations of food and wine to enhance the flavours and truly intensify the enjoyment of eating.

Moreover, the School of Management has a strong desire to educate students with culinary knowledge and skills which cover the preparation of ingredients to ensure the deliciousness and safety of the dishes and  to enhance the customer’s dining experience.
