On 10 February 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nantana Gajaseni, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, executives and researchers welcomed Mr. Xavier Grosmaître, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation and Mr. Benoît Talleu, Project Manager, French Embassy in Thailand at Doi Tung Room, Vanchai Sirichana Building. The purpose of this visit was to provide valuable information regarding the available scholarships offered for students and researchers to further their studies in France.
Mr. Xavier Grosmaître introduced three main schemes of co-funding mobility support which were 1. Franco-Thai Scholarship program, 2. Junior Research Fellowship Program and 3. Franco-Thai Joint research program (PHC SIAM). After the meeting, the delegates from the French Embassy also took a campus tour to visit the laboratories and classrooms.
MFU and the French Embassy has a long and close relations. The University has organised many projects in order to develop academic cooperation between MFU and the French Embassy in Thailand under the French-Upper Mekong Sub-Region Academic Cooperation Centre's active role.Therefore, this visit has indeed nurtured and strengthened friendly relations between Thailand and France in supporting each other for mutual development and prosperity.
