On 21 – 22 April 2023, the Global Relations Division and the Tea and Coffee Institute co-organised the Tea and Coffee Training programme for 12 exchange students and researchers at Wang Put Tan Plantation and Phayaprai village, Chiang Rai province.
Chiang Rai province is famous as the tea and coffee production area. This training programme aimed to provide an opportunity for international students to know the Tea and Coffee Institute’s vital role in developing Chiang Rai’s tea and coffee sector and supporting local communities while getting hand-on experience and knowledge through various interesting workshops such as coffee tasting & brewing, tea soap and tea blending. Throughout the programme, international students not only discovered Northern Thai people's ways of life and culture but also built positive relationships with friends.
