On 9 – 11 May 2023, the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) team led by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Chief Assessor conducted the 328th Site Visit in the AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Mae Fah Luang University.
Four study programmes were assessed namely:
• Bachelor of Science Programme in Cosmetic Science
• Master of Science Programme in Cosmetic Science
• Bachelor of Public Health Programme
• Master of Public Health Programme in Border Health Management
During the assessment period, the assessors discussed with leaders of Schools, Divisions, SAR teams; interviewed academic staff, support staff, students, alumni, employers; and visited facilities of the University and the Schools.
At the closing ceremony of the site visit held on 11 May 2023, Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, the Chief Assessor and assessment team members presented the preliminary findings. Also, the assessment team provided guidance, key strengths and areas for improvement of the four assessed programmes. In addition, Prof. Dr. Fauza Ab. Ghaffar, the AUN-QA Technical Team concluded the presentation, followed by a closing remark by Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, Acting President of Mae Fah Luang University. The President expressed her appreciation to all assessors, executives and lecturers of each programme. She also mentioned that the suggestions will be applied to further develop the curriculum and improve the quality of study programmes.
