On 16 May 2023, Prof. Dr.Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Acting Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University; Asst. Prof. Dr.Romyen Kosaikanont, Advisor to the President and Prof. Cen Ronglin, lecturer of the School of Sinology attended the farewell reception for Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Chiang Mai on the occasion of the end of his term as Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Chiang Mai at the Empress International Convention Center, Chiang Mai province.
Mae Fah Laung University and the Consulate General of the People Republic of China in Chiang Mai have the long-standing and close relations in promoting cultural and people-to-people exchange between China and Thailand. On 29 August 2022, Mr. Wu Zhiwu, attended the opening ceremony and gave a special talk on SDGs for Chinese and Thai participants in the Chiang Rai-Yunnan Sister Cities Youth Virtual Exchange at MFU.
Mae Fah Laung University will continuously collaborate with the Consulate General of the People Republic of China in Chiang Mai to strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchange as well as promote cooperation between China and Northern Thailand.
