During 10 – 11 July 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr.Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University; Asst. Prof. Dr.Phanuphong Chaiwut, Vice President; Dr. Piyatida Pianluprasidh, Dean of the School of Management; and Dr. Tosporn Arreeras, lecturer, School of Management visited Muroran Institute of Technology to attend the MoU signing ceremony and discuss potential areas of cooperation.
On 10 July 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr.Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University and Dr.Kuga Yoshikazu, President of Muroran Institute of Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation and Exchange between Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand and Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan. The agreement aims at promoting academic and educational exchange including an exchange of faculty members and researchers; an exchange of students (covering course studies, short-term programmes and internships); an exchange of scientific materials, publications and information; joint research; conferences; and workshops.
In addition, on the 2nd day of the visit, the two universities talked over possibilities and potential inbound and outbound exchange programmes. Also, MFU delegates took a campus tour and visited Prof. Arimura Mikiharu's laboratory.
Altogether, both universities will soon activate collaborative research and education, especially outbound and inbound programmes based on research activities between Dr. Tosporn Arreeras from MFU and Prof. Arimura Mikiharu from MuroranIT.
