On 3 – 6 October 2023, the Tea and Coffee Institute at Mae Fah Luang University in collaboration with the Botanical Garden Organisation of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held the training programme on Entrepreneurship opportunities in agriculture and related aspects under a topic of “Tea processing” at Mae Fah Luang University and tea shops in Chiang Rai province.
This programme aimed to provide tea and herbal tea knowledge and processing for 17 lecturers and fourth-year bachelor’s degree students from Central Agricultural University and University of Agricultural Sciences, India through a series of lectures and workshops such as tea tasting, tea blending, and tea quality evaluation. During the programme, all participants also had study visits to observe tea processing at Phayaprai village and Wang Put Tan Tea Plantation.
