On 27 October 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University and PD Dr. Gudrun Sigrid Ulrich-Merzenich, Head of AG Synergy Research and Experimental Medicine at University Hospital Bonn, a representative of the University of Bonn, Germany presided over the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mae Fah Laung University and the University of Bonn.
The signing ceremony was held both online via Zoom programme and onsite at Doitung Meeting Room, Vanchai Sirichana Building (AD1).
This MOU signing event, a part of the "Elevating Herbal Research to Global Medical Benefit Utilization with BCG Foundation" initiative, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University and MFU executives as well as Prof. Dr. Bernd Weber, Dean of the Medical Faculty, the University of Bonn, who participated via the online system.
The MoU is expected to elevate herbal research and foster academic collaboration with renowned and globally recognized researchers to enhance Mae Fah Luang University and its partner institutions' research and innovation achievements. It also aims to promote the use of herbal medicines for healthcare at the international level.
