On 18 November 2023, Mae Fah Luang University and the MFU Alumni Association organised the MFU Homecoming 2023, as a part of the University's celebration of 25th years, to welcome MFU alumni back to campus for reconnecting, strengthening, and building relationships among alumni and current students.
In the opening ceremony, there were a report delivered by Mr. Sathon Laorungrot, President of MFU Alumni Association; an opening speech given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Laung University; followed by a welcome remark presented by Adjunct. Prof. Dr.Vanchai Sirichana, Founding President of Mae Fah Luang University and Chairman of the University Council. The event attracted a large number of participants including executives, lecturers, alumni, current students, staff members and visitors.
MFU Homecoming 2023 provided a variety of activities and events: a campus tour to MFU facilities (such as M for U, Food Maker Space, MFU Aviation Business Training center and Mekong Basin Civilization Museum); and MFU Fest & Fun 2023 which consisted of games, food and vendor booths as well as performances from various student clubs and a concert of Thai band ‘Season Five’.
Since its inception, MFU has produced over 38,000 graduates including both Thai and international graduates who are now serving in various sectors; from private to public and nonprofit organizations all across the world.
Altogether, the MFU Homecoming 2023 was a meaningful event that brought together alumni, staff members and current students to celebrate the bond connecting the whole MFU community throughout the history of Mae Fah Luang University. Alumni also had a chance to bring back cherished memories, catch up with old friends, and build new connections.
