On 30 January 2024, the Global Relation Divisions (the International Collaboration and Academic Mobility section) and Dr. Matej Balen from the School of Management, Mae Fah Luang University engaged in a productive online meeting with the University of St. La Salle, the Republic of the Philippines to discuss future collaborations.
Both universities shared the distinction of being members of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) programme, fostering connections and partnerships in the realm of international education. Therefore, the University of St. La Salle expressed a keen interest in broadening collaboration, particularly in the field of Nursing, outlining plans to facilitate outbound student study visits and faculty exchanges.
The meeting delved into the specifics of potential collaborations, focusing on the graduate level of Business Administration. The universities also discussed avenues of cooperation including faculty exchange programmes (both onsite and online), student exchange initiatives, collaborative research ventures, and participation in the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Programme.
Dr. Matej Balen, representing MFU, expressed enthusiasm about the prospects of mutual growth and shared academic endeavors. Moreover, the University of St. La Salle extended a warm invitation to Mae Fah Luang University for a future visit to the Philippines, strengthening the bonds of collaboration and cultural exchange.
