MFU would like to congratulate students from the School of Information Technology who were the winner of June Monthly Smart Start Idea by GSB Startup contest and a prize of 50,000 baht.

The Smart Start Idea by GSB Startup contest was organized by the Government Savings Bank and Mae Fah Luang University Intellectual Property and Innovation Development Office (MFii) with a main purpose to encourage students to create works or ideas that can be concretely utilised for commercial purposes.  From May to December 2018, students are invited to enthusiastically showcase their work by submitting a three-minute video presentation under the monthly topics set by the Government Savings Bank.

Competing against several works submitted under the concept of "Aging Society: creating product or service for an aging society", a Triple T team including Mr. Kunakorn Inthong, Mr. Preedapong Donloei, Mr.Kitdanai Sangpair and Ms. Parandrat Hiranyanwong won the June 2018 contest for their “ALz Track”.

“ALz Track”, a smart wristband, is used for solving wandering and getting lost problems of the older adults with Alzheimer's disease. With GPS tracking system installed in a wristband, if the older adults were getting lost, their families could find the location of them through an application. Moreover, this wristband includes useful functions including a censor heart measure/ heart rate; a body temperature monitor and medication reminder.

Winning this award shows that MFU students are keeping MFU’s commitment to promoting health improvement practices and improving the quality of life to all Thai people.
