Further Cooperation for a Double Degree Ph.D. Programme

      On 5-7 August 2018, lecturers from the School of Agro-Industry at MFU led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saroat Rawdkuen, Assist. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk and Dr. Wirongrong Tongdeesoontorn visited the Faculty of Agriculture, Shinshu University in Japan.

      The objective of the visit was to evaluate the implementation of a Double Degree Master’s Programme between the School of Agro-Industry, MFU and the Faculty of Agriculture, Shinshu University.  This programme provides an opportunity for students to pursue two Master’s degrees, at MFU and Shinshu University in two years. It also offer students the opportunity for seizing a truly global perspective and a wider and more comprehensive view of the study of Agriculture. 

      This year marks the second year of the DDP between MFU and Shinshu University. MFU is proud that two MFU students, Ms. Pimmada Junsathian and Mrs. Mooktida Saekow will be awarded their Master's of Science in Agriculture from Shinshu University on 26 September 2018.

      Finally, the lecturers from both universities discussed developing a double degree Ph.D. programme to provide a chance for students from both universities to enrich their knowledge and increase their learning experiences and academic potential with agricultural experts who have expertise in specialized areas. The deeper collaboration would indeed benefit students learning and also strengthen relations between the two countries.
