MFU Researchers Participate in Regional Sustainability Conference in Vietnam

On 5 - 7 December 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr.Apisom Intralawan, from the School of Management at Mae Fah Luang University and a member of the Sustainability and Entrepreneurship Research Center (SERC), participated in the conference titled “Stakeholders’ Meeting and Discussion on Lower Mekong Region's Sustainable Development” at Can Tho University, Vietnam.

This consultative meeting with stakeholders in the Lower Mekong region was held by the DRAGON-Mekong Institute for Climate Change Research, in collaboration with the British Embassy and the British Council in Vietnam.

The event aimed to foster collaboration among youth networks and key stakeholders by providing a platform for exchanging knowledge and insights on critical cross-border challenges in the Lower Mekong Region. The event attracted over 400 participants, both in-person and online, including representatives from various ministries, international experts, and youth representatives from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and the United Kingdom; local authorities, agencies, unions, networks, and organizations in the Mekong Delta; as well as youth participants from the CoRe, Y-CoRe, and Climate Skills projects, with a focus on gender balance. Participants worked together to explore sustainable actions and solutions to address the regional issues effectively. 

MFU’s participation in this gathering reflects its efforts in highlighting the importance of collective efforts in promoting sustainability across national boundaries in this region, align with its vision to become a leading university in ASEAN with international recognition, striving for well-being and sustainable future.
