On 24 April 2025, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the results of the THE Asia University Rankings 2025. Out of 853 universities in Asia, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) was ranked within the 501–600 band, placing joint 37th among ASEAN universities and joint 8th among the 27 Thai universities that submitted data for the rankings.
The THE Asia University Rankings evaluates universities based on performance indicators in five areas:
Mae Fah Luang University scored exceptionally high in the International Outlook category, achieving No. 1 in Thailand for six consecutive years with an increased score of 58.2 points. MFU's scores in each category are as follows:.
This year, the total score increased from 30.33 in 2024 to 30.53, with notable rises in the Research Quality category (from 42.4 to 44.5) and the International Outlook category (from 54 to 58.2), respectively.
