On 1 October 2025, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), in collaboration with the SINGHA ALL STAR team and the Singha Corporation Company Limited, organised the charity football event “SINGHA ALL STAR Unity Match 2025: Playing with Doctors Against 3 Cancers.” The match pitted the SINGHA ALL STAR team against a team of MFU doctors and staff at the MFU Sports Complex football field.

Festivities began in the afternoon with a youth football clinic to encourage physical activity and nurture young football talent. This was followed by the opening ceremony and the presentation of a financial donation to MFU to support cancer patient care projects, implemented by the MFU Medical Center Hospital and the School of Medicine.

In the opening ceremony, Dr. Natthawut Yodsuwan, MFU Vice President, delivered the welcome address. The event was graced by Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi and executives from Singha Corporation, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University, along with the Deans of the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry, MFU. Mr. Somchai Khemklad, representing the SINGHA ALL STAR team, outlined the objectives and collaborative spirit behind this charity match. The event also attracted MFU faculty, staff, students, and the general public.

The programme featured a charity match, a mini-concert performed by SINGHA ALL STAR celebrities, and a memorabilia auction, with autographed items from celebrities and prize giveaways sponsored by Singha Drinking Water, Singha Lemon Soda, and MFU. All proceeds from the event were dedicated to support breast cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and colorectal cancer screening.

In his remarks, Dr. Natthawut Yodsuwan emphasized that the event was not only a source of joy and friendship through sport but also an important platform for uniting efforts across sectors to support cancer patients, a pressing public health concern in Thailand. He expressed MFU’s deep appreciation to the SINGHA ALL STAR team and Singha Corporation for partnering in this meaningful initiative, as well as to the MFU doctors, dentists, and staff who took to the field to embody the spirit of “Unity” in advancing public health.
