Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) students have achieved Second Place in the Idea Stage category, securing a $25,000 prize at the prestigious Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2025 held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Competing against the top 100 startups from over 47 countries, the KLORA TEAM showcased their groundbreaking idea: KLORA Flower Boost, a flower life-extension effervescent tablet. KLORA Flower Boost is an innovative, safe, and sustainable solution designed to extend the freshness and shelf life of cut flowers. By preventing microbial spoilage grey mold, their technology enhances water and nutrient absorption while preserving natural flower colours. This innovation directly helps producers reduce waste and meet demanding export standards.

Chosen from over 10,000 applicants across 169 countries, the KLORA TEAM competed across diverse key sectors, including information and communications technology, health and social services, diverse business services, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, manufacturing, and space industries.

The team also exhibited their innovative work in Biban25, the largest entrepreneurial event in Saudi Arabia, alongside more than 1,300 startups worldwide. This provided a crucial platform for exploring partnerships, networking, and investment opportunities.

The EWC 2025, one of the largest and most diverse pitch competitions and support programmes globally, was hosted in Riyadh as part of Biban Forum 2025, organized by the Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) from 5 to 8 November at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center, under the theme “Global Destination for Opportunities.”
This achievement marks another proud milestone for the MFU community and Thailand on the global startup stage, underscoring the immense potential of Thai startups in the global entrepreneurship landscape.

This success reflects MFU’s commitment to developing students’ entrepreneurial skills and innovative capabilities, promoting startup creation for economic growth, and fostering international collaboration and innovation-driven competitiveness.
