On 10 – 14 November 2025, the School of Medicine’s MFU Cadaveric Surgical Training Center (MFU CaST Center), in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, hosted the “Hands-On Cadaveric Workshop 2025”. The intensive programme covered four specialised topics including Laparoscopic Assisted Hysterectomy, Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Modern Hip and Knee Surgery.

The objective of the programme was to enhance surgical competency and develop advanced technical skills in modern operative procedures. By improving skills and precision, the workshop aims to directly benefit patient safety and reduce potential risks or complications associated with surgical outcomes. The workshop utilised a blended approach, featuring both lectures and hands-on practical sessions. These sessions were led by experienced professors from the MFU Medical Center Hospital.

Participants gained real-life practice and exposure to complex surgical procedures using cadaveric specimens under the close supervision of expert surgeons.

This initiative contributes significantly to advancing medical knowledge and practical skills among physicians across Thailand. It also strongly reinforces Mae Fah Luang University’s role as a leading medical learning hub in Northern Thailand, actively striving to support public well-being through professional development and advanced surgical training.
