Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) representatives, Prof. Dr.Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Vice President, and Ms. Wannapha Thippayasak Head of Global Relations Division, attended the ASEAN Australia Education Dialogue (AAED) 2025 from 1 - 4 December 2025, at St Giles Wembley Hotel George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

The ASEAN-Australia Education Dialogue (AAED) served as a platform aimed at strengthening Australia’s education and training relationship with key stakeholders in the ASEAN region, including the ASEAN University Network (AUN). AAED 2025 was hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and co-organised with the ASEAN Focus Group (AFG VG), in association with the ASEAN University Network (AUN). The dialogue brought together 150 participants, including thought leaders, researchers, students, policymakers, and change-makers across ASEAN and Australia, to explore shared challenges, exchange best practices, and strengthen regional partnerships.

This year’s theme - “Education in Motion: Reimagining Mobility, Inclusivity, and Sustainability Across Borders” – focused on the urgent need for collaborative education strategies that support sustainability, inclusion, and innovation, ranging from climate action and maritime sustainability to digital learning and regional mobility. The programme featured thematic panels, interactive sessions, a roundtable, a masterclass, site visits, and networking opportunities designed to foster meaningful dialogue and sustainable academic collaboration.

MFU’s participation in this event reflected its commitment in initiating new partnerships, deepening existing collaborations, and engaging directly with institutions across ASEAN and Australia on shared educational priorities for a more connected, resilient, and sustainable future for the region.
