On 14 June 2019, the Director General of the Department of Adult and Higher Education, Bhutan, Madame Kesang Choden Dorji visited Mae Fah Luang University to explore possibilities for future collaboration with Assistant to the President and Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Intrasai.
From the beginning, MFU provides essential programmes and uses English as a teaching medium. The on-demand programmes inspired the delegates from the Department of Adult and Higher Education to become interested in offering scholarships for Bhuatanese students to study at MFU. Furthermore, the Department of Adult and Higher Education and MFU delegation discussed the possibility of holding short training courses or workshop in Health Science, Public Health, Medicine, Nursing and Information Technology for Bhutanese people.
Altogether, this discussion showed the strong effort of both MFU and the Director General of the Department of Adult and Higher Education in furthering academic cooperation for improving the quality of life of the people and supporting sustainable development of the two countries.
