Management Student Wins 1st Prize in ASEAN Tourism Promotion Project Contest

Students from the Tourism Management programme, the School of Management Ms. Chayanit Bunpakdee and Ms. Napitta Makcharoen won the first prize and the second runner-up prize respectively in ASEAN Tourism Promotion Project Contest, ASEAN Youth Forum: Advancing the Partnerships for the Sustainable Promotion of ASEAN Tourism during 29 August – 2 September 2019 at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand.

In the project development contest, students were required to develop the creative and effective plan for promoting local tourist destination, the “Songkhla Old Town” to properly target the right group of tourists.

Since tourism is one of the most powerful mechanisms for helping people to experience multiple cultures and their natural heritage, ASEAN Youth Forum: Advancing the Partnerships for the Sustainable Promotion of ASEAN Tourism is held by Prince of Songkla University to enhance the potential of ASEAN youth for promoting sustainable ASEAN tourism. This event also expected to strengthen relationships amongst universities and establish new collaborative networks.
