Exploring and Exchanging Food Science Knowledge at Kagoshima University

To advance academic excellence and intercultural skills, students from the Postharvest Technology and Logistics programme, the School of Agro-Industry participated in the Food Safety Course at Kagoshima University, Japan during 17-26 August 2019.

Under the U.S.-Kagoshima-Asia Triad Program in a multi-Polar World Inter-University Exchange Project supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan, both bachelor’s degree and master’s degree students had a chance to learn about Good manufacturing practice (GMP) and Hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP). Students also shared their knowledge through the project presentation in the international joint seminar on “the Future of Food Production and Processing in Kyushu and Asia.”

The School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University and the Faculty of Agriculture, Kagoshima University have been implementing the academic collaboration in an exchange of student and lecturer as well as a joint research under the agreement since 2006.
