Mae Fah Luang University would like to congratulate Ms. Warapon Paenkhokuard, a student from Environmental Health programme, the School of Health Science who was chosen to be one of the Thailand’s Young Leaders on Climate Change in the Action for Climate Empower (ACE) Youth Camp 2020 held from 21 to 25 September 2020 in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
In the camp, 60 young participants across Thailand were trained and developed the environmental projects to encourage environmentally friendly behaviors and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Thailand.
This ACE Youth Camp 2020 was held by the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), the Ministry of National Resources and Environment and the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) with fund from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the purpose to encourage youths’ role as driving force for the sustainable greenhouse gas emission reduction.
