On 3 December 2020, students from the School of Information Technology won the Idea Pitching award with prize money of 20,000 baht for their robotic application for a genius telecommunication robot ‘True5G Temi Connect & Carebot’ using to support the costumer services in Central Plaza Chiang Rai.
MFU ‘MUNSTT’ team consisting of students from the Software Engineering programme won the prize and has proceeded to compete in the national round of True5G World of Smart Education with Temi Robot Bootcamp.
The ‘True5G Temi Connect & Carebot’ is a part of True Corporation Public Company Limited’s True5G World of Smart Education with Temi Robot Bootcamp which aims at enhancing Thai education to become smart education. Mae Fah Luang University is one of 20 Thai universities joining the True5G World of Smart Education with Temi Robot Bootcamp project. This project highlights the development in three main areas: Smart Learning, Smart Campus and Innovation and R&D. Students who participate in this project will be trained through the ‘VLEARN’ platform which helps they learn about 5G technology and robot. The project also helps advance their innovative ideas and presentation skills that enable them to develop robotic application for retail business.
