MFU is 1 of 25 Thai Universities in THE Impact Rankings 2021

    This year, out of 1,115 universities across 94 countries or regions (25 of which were Thai universities), Mae Fah Luang University was ranked in the 601-800 tier in the world for the overall score, alongside King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Prince of Songkla University, Thammasat University and Walailak University in the latest THE Impact Rankings 2021, released on 21 April 2021.

    Mae Fah Luang University submitted data on seven SDGs including:

SDG 3 Good Health and Wellbeing was ranked 401-600 group (joint 7th in Thailand);

SDG 5 Gender Equality was ranked 201-300 group (joint 4th in Thailand);

SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation was ranked 301-400 group (joint 10th in Thailand);

SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure was ranked 301-400 group (joint 5th in Thailand);

SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities was ranked 301-400 group (11th in Thailand);

SDG 15 Life on Land was ranked 101-200 group (joint 5th in Thailand); and

SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals was ranked 601-800 group (joint 13th in Thailand).

    MFU will make all the necessary effort to maintain its national academic leadership status and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with high-quality research, teaching and international collaboration.

    The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across three broad areas: research, outreach and stewardship.
